This month, Milanovich begins rehearsals for A Bright Room Called Day with Flat Earth Theatre. The production runs Sept 30th - Oct 14th. Milanovich will be playing Die Alte, a character described as somewhere between 100 and death-- because the preferred Milanovich type is absolutely "old" and "a scary ghost."
This month, Milanovich was named Outstanding Actress in a Featured Role in a Play by the 2017 OnStage Theatre Awards for her role as Helene in A Doll's House. She'll eat macaroons and drink champagne to celebrate, much as Nora Helmer would demand.
This week, Milanovich will join one of her favorite companies in town, Fresh Ink Theatre, while appearing in a staged reading of one of their upcoming new works for the 2017/2018 season. Come see Nomad Americana at the Boston Public Library and be a part of some important conversations at the start of this brand new play's journey to production!
This weekend, Milanovich will travel to Milton, MA where she will perform in an evening of staged readings as a part of Skies Over Milton. In a collaboration with Boston Playwrights' Theatre, MFA playwriting students have written new plays and monologues from interviews with residents of three different assisted living residences. Milanovich gets to read a new play and eat Swedish fish-- two of her favorite things of all time.
On June 7th, Milanovich will be appearing in Pants Role Nation, a variety show fundraiser benefiting Simple Machine and Maiden Phoenix Theatre Company and their upcoming production of OR, by Liz Duffy Adams. It's a night full of badass ladies singing songs and doing scenes originally written to be performed and played by men. Milanovich is singing a little tune from The Last 5 Years so please show up to see if she remembers the words.
